Nikon AF DC-NIKKOR 135mm f/2D: A Portrait Photographer’s Dream Price in Pakistan
Overview
The Nikon AF DC-NIKKOR 135mm f/2D is a standout medium telephoto prime lens tailored for portrait photography, thanks to its unique Defocus Image Control (DC) feature and a bright maximum aperture of f/2. This lens enables photographers to creatively manipulate background and foreground blur, making subjects pop against their surroundings.
Key Features
- Defocus Image Control: The innovative DC feature allows for precise control over the degree and location of blur, enabling stunning portrait shots with either softened backgrounds or foregrounds.
- Fast Aperture: With an f/2 maximum aperture, this lens excels in low-light scenarios and provides exceptional depth of field management for selective focus techniques.
- Super Integrated Coating: Individual lens elements are treated with a specialized coating to minimize flare and ghosting, enhancing contrast and color fidelity, especially in bright or backlit environments.
- Rear Focusing Mechanism: The design ensures that only the rear lens group shifts during focusing, allowing for faster and more responsive performance while maintaining the lens’s compact length.
- Compatibility: While designed for FX-format Nikon F-mount cameras, it is also compatible with DX models, offering a 202.5mm equivalent focal length.
- Manual Focus Support: Note that autofocus is not available on certain older DSLRs that lack a built-in motor, making manual focus necessary on models like the D3000-series and D5000-series.
- Aesthetic Diaphragm: The rounded nine-blade diaphragm produces beautiful out-of-focus highlights, enhancing the lens’s performance in shallow depth of field scenarios.
- Built-in Lens Hood: A convenient feature to help block stray light and reduce flare.
